Claim your Free Money | Facebook Settlement and Unclaimed State Funds
If you had a Facebook Account between May 24, 2007, and December 22, 2022, inclusive, you can claim part of a $725 million settlement over data privacy. The settlement was reached in response to a class action lawsuit that had accused Facebook of allowing third parties, including Cambridge Analytica, to access private user information and of deceiving users regarding its privacy policies. To apply for a settlement payment, users must complete a claim form online or by mail. The deadline for submitting the form is August 25, 2023. The exact amount of the payment for each participant is not yet known but the link to the form is below:

To find your facebook username to complete the form: go to the mobile app: click your profile picture, the three dots by your Profile, and copy the last part of your profile link.
When would you get money? To be determined but the Final Approval Hearing for the Settlement of this case on September 7, 2023 at 1 p.m. PDT so sometime after that, assuming settlement is approved. See the FAQ to learn more.

Check to make sure the website you click ends in the .gov ending meaning the website is owed by the government.
